Objective Builder & Bloom's Calibrator

Draft objectives in ABCD form, then calibrate each verb against Bloom so the objective states something a supervisor could actually observe — at the level the job really demands.

“Understand” is a level. It is not a verb.

Understanding is a perfectly good thing to aim at — it is the second rung of Bloom's taxonomy. It just cannot carry an objective, because no supervisor can stand there and watch someone understand. The calibrator keeps those two things apart: it holds the level you are aiming at and swaps the verb for one that can be seen.

Start from the Project Planner

If you drafted objectives in tool 2's Design phase, paste them here — one per line. Each becomes a card below with the text in Behaviour, ready for you to pull the audience, condition and standard out of it.

Write the behaviour and the verb is placed here automatically.

Your objective set

Add an objective and fill in the behaviour. Your calibrated set assembles here, ready to paste into a design document.

Nothing here leaves your browser. This tool has no server and no account. Your objectives stay on this device, and closing the tab discards them unless you copy or print first.

Next in the method

Objectives are only half of Design. Chapter 5 turns each one into the assessment that would prove it — the test written before the lesson.
